The mission of the St. Alcuin Montessori School is to provide an ideal learning environment based upon Montessori principles that will guide and nurture the full development of the individual.
St. Alcuin Montessori School is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational day school located on a beautiful twelve acre campus in Dallas, Texas. Founded in 1964, and now one of the largest Montessori schools in North America, the school serves a diverse community of over 500 students, toddlers through eighth graders. St. Alcuin is a model for toddler, primary, and elementary Montessori programs. The Middle School is guided by the core values of the Montessori approach, and the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP). This combination of unique philosophies and internationally recognized academic standards offers an environment in which the middle school student can grow in knowledge and personal responsibility.
St. Alcuin was the leader in creating the accreditation standards for Montessori schools in Texas, and recently became the first Montessori school in the city to become part of the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS), the regional accrediting organization for all independent schools.
